This item is a charming early 1930s bowler hat, including its original box.
The hat’s circumference is 22.5″ (57cm) with a 34″ (86cm) circumference brim and height of approximately 5″ (13cm).
An emblem on the inside of the hat bears the motto of the British chivalric Order of the Garter: Honi Soit Qui Mal y Pense which translates to shamed be whoever thinks ill of it.
The box has some wear and tear, though the hat is in very good condition.
